Kiss Me, Stupid
Wilder’s devilish take on the suburban ideal is incredibly dirty and simultaneously, as if out of nowhere, really quite beautiful. Playing on the auteur’s oeuvre, the story centres on a piano teacher madly, comically suspicious of his beautiful wife. One day, the womanising Dean Martin (as himself) shows up in the small town, and the aspirational songwriter/song-seller puts him up for the night. The developing whirlwind is smutty, crazy, hilarious and smutty again, and there isn’t much more entertaining than watching a room of people with mutually exclusive goals. A remarkable work of evil genius, massively underrated!

Nah, just doing the ones I haven’t seen. Really liked it, but there’s a lot of Wilder’s I rank above it at the top.
