Jack the Giant Slayer
Anyone complaining about a lack of fidelity to the fairy tale doesn’t know how myth works. The first act is great, a cleverly re-tooled story well executed. The rest is never bad, but the acting is flat and there’s a couple of plot devices that you’d call inconsistent if they were ever defined properly. Frustratingly, the resolution itself hangs on these.
Didn’t know Bryan Singer was the director. Might give this one a watch. Pretty excited about his return to the X-Men franchise.
Yeah that’s why I saw it. Guy does good. And I’m VERY excited about that.
