Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
Like 21 Jump Street this is a ridiculous(ly) funny surreal rollercoaster. At times it’s so densely populated with gags it’s like being bombarded from the sky, except with awesome things. Like ice cream.
Okay, so the third act takes up half the runtime, but the animation throughout is superb, a level of zany chaos familiar to fans of Clone High.
Colour me excited for the LEGO movie!

Anywherefore, I wouldn’t say it beats Pixar at its best, but this is up there with How to Train Your Dragon I think.
Richard, do you remember back in the day, me clutching a copy of Total Film and saying we should check out this film from the director of Hellboy? IIRC, they only gave it 4 stars at the time, for shame.
