So boring, it doesn’t even deserve any words. People only like it because it’s flashy and new. And you know how ‘Merica loves it’s flashy films.

I wanted to like it, but in trying to avoid the plot beats of the original it avoids telling much of a story at all… a skeleton of Vanderbilt’s ideas, I imagine, defaced by 3D gimmick after 3D gimmick. As you say, doesn’t deserve a real review.

Exactly. I’m just sort of surprised that so many people truly believe this to be the best in the series. It blatantly cribs from the original Saimi film, while managing to fuck up the most basic of the Spiderman mythology (YOU DON’T HAVE UNCLE BEN INDIRECTLY BE THE CAUSE OF HIS OWN DEMISE, IDIOT WRITERS). And when it does try something new, it comes off as uninspired. Yeah sure, Andrew Garfield is fine and I like Emma Stone, but this film absolutely fails them.
